About Me

My Journey in medicine has taken me places I never imagined I'd go, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  

 

I'm originally from Laredo, Texas and moved to San Antonio at the age of 18. I  quickly fell in love with San Antonio, it immediately felt like home.  I pretty much stayed there as long as I could!  That is until graduate school took me away.  At the age of 25 I moved away, yet again, to a city where I didn't know anyone and had only been once before.

 

I lived in Edinburg for one year or as everyone calls it "The Valley".   I lived there as I completed my didactic year.  After being in San Antonio for seven years I packed up my things and left everything behind as I chased this crazy dream of mine.   Living in a city where I didn't know anyone and being thrown into an overwhelming graduate curriculum wasn't easy, but the year quickly flew by.   I also quickly realized,  The Valley has some of the nicest people I have ever met!!   I left part of my heart and many lifelong friends behind when I left. 

 

From there my training took me back home to Laredo to complete my clinical year.  I lived in Laredo for another year as I completed my clinical rotations.   Returning to Laredo was never really something that was in my plans, but life is funny like that, and when you want something enough you go anywhere to make it happen.  

 

I finally made my way back to San Antonio to complete my elective rotation in pain management.  In addition, I completed my capstone in San Antonio in the specialty of Family Medicine.   Specialties I have a special interest include: Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine, Women's Health, Psychiatry,  and Pain Management.
